questions our customers might have at any time.
MEDICARE/ MEDICAID
When a transport is preformed for Medicare eligible patients, LJH Ambulance
accepts assignment. We also bill all Medicare supplemental insurance before
forwarding an invoice for any balance due by the patient. LJH Ambulance also
accepts payment from Medicaid/ T19 for any covered service.
The billing department at LJH Ambulance will make special arrangements for
individuals requiring a payment plan or financial assistance. A friendly phone
call is all it takes for additional considerations.
INSURANCE
LJH Ambulance obtains all pertinent information at the time of transport so
that claims to any insurance carrier may be submitted promptly. The acquired
information includes, but is not limited to, individual and group policy numbers,
and the policyholder's name. A signature from the patient or responsible party
is also attempted at the time of service, insuring all appropriate authorizations,
and acknowledgements.
